A: Pacific Haul & Wash is a locally owned San Diego County company that does junk removal, property cleanouts and pressure washing. We haul away furniture, mattresses, appliances, yard waste and debris, clear out garages and rentals, and pressure wash driveways, patios, walkways and storefronts. Q: What areas do you serve? A: We serve all of San Diego County, from the South Bay to North County and East County, plus Temecula and Murrieta in southwest Riverside County. That includes San Diego and its neighborhoods, Chula Vista, Oceanside, Escondido, Carlsbad, El Cajon, Vista, San Marcos, La Mesa, Santee and Poway. If your town isn't listed, text us and ask. Q: How do I get a quote? A: The fastest way to get a quote is to text photos of the job to (619) 972-3798. You can also call, or fill out the quote form on this site with your address, the service you need, and up to four photos. Q: Are your quotes free? A: Yes, quotes are free. Send photos or a description of the job and we'll reply with an estimate. There's no obligation to book. Q: How is pricing determined? A: Pricing is based on the size and type of the job. For hauling, that means how much space your items take up, what they are, how heavy they are, and how easy they are to reach. For pressure washing, it's the square footage, surface type and how heavy the staining is. Photos let us price it accurately, so text them to (619) 972-3798. Q: Do you offer same-day or next-day service? A: Sometimes. Same-day and next-day availability depends on our schedule, so ask us. Text (619) 972-3798 with photos and your timing and we'll tell you the soonest we can be there. Q: Do I have to move items to the curb? A: No, you don't need to move anything. We pick items up from wherever they are, including inside the home, upstairs, in the garage or in the backyard, and do all the lifting and loading. Q: Do you take hazardous waste like paint or chemicals? A: No, we don't take hazardous materials. That includes paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, motor oil, fuel, propane tanks, batteries in bulk, asbestos and medical waste. San Diego County offers household hazardous waste drop-off and pickup programs for those items. Q: Do you remove asbestos? A: No, we don't handle asbestos. Materials that may contain asbestos, like some older popcorn ceilings, flooring and pipe insulation, must be tested and removed by a certified abatement contractor. Q: Do you donate or recycle items? A: Yes, when possible. Furniture and household items in good condition can go to donation, and materials like metal, cardboard and green waste can be recycled. Everything else goes to licensed disposal facilities. Q: Can you haul junk and pressure wash in the same visit? A: Yes, combining hauling and washing in one visit is what we do best. For example, we can clear out a side yard or garage and then pressure wash the concrete underneath, with one crew and one estimate. Q: Do you work with landlords, property managers and HOAs? A: Yes, we work with landlords, property managers, HOAs and small businesses. We handle rental turnovers, dumped item cleanups and common-area washing, and can send after photos when the job is done. Q: What should I do before you arrive? A: Before we arrive, set aside anything you want to keep, make sure we can get to the items, and let us know about gate codes, stairs or parking limits. For appliances, disconnect water and gas lines. For pressure washing, move cars and small items off the surface. Q: How do I contact Pacific Haul & Wash? A: Call or text Pacific Haul & Wash at (619) 972-3798, or email phw.sdservices@gmail.com. Texting photos is the quickest way to get a quote. Q: What are your hours? A: Pacific Haul & Wash is open 24/7 for calls, texts and quote requests. Call or text (619) 972-3798 any time with photos of the job and we will reply with an estimate and the soonest time we can be there. A: No. Pacific Haul & Wash is not affiliated with Pacific Haul & Removal or Pacific Haul SD, which are separate businesses with similar names. Our only phone number is (619) 972-3798 and our website is pacifichaulandwash.com. Q: Where can I see what junk removal costs? URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/haul-and-wash Most cleanups need two companies: one to take the junk and one to clean what was under it. I do both in one visit, with one crew and one estimate. Text a photo to (619) 972-3798 and I'll text you back a price. #### Why one visit beats two companies - One text gets you one price for the whole job. - No gap between the haul and the wash, and no second appointment to wait around for. - The concrete gets washed after the junk is gone, so the stains under the pile get cleaned too. - You get after photos when it’s done, even if you weren’t there. #### Jobs it fits best - Garage cleared back to parking, then the floor and apron washed - Side yard hauled out, then the slab washed - Rental turnover emptied, then the entry and patio washed for the next tenant - Dumpster enclosure cleared of dumped items, then the pad washed - Home about to be listed: junk out, driveway clean, ready for photos #### How it works 1. Text photos of the junk and the surface you want washed. 2. I text back one price before anything gets moved. 3. We load it, haul it, wash it and sweep up. #### Where the water and the junk go Usable stuff gets donated or recycled when we can. The rest goes to licensed disposal facilities. Wash water stays out of storm drains whenever the site allows, because San Diego’s drains run untreated to creeks, bays and the ocean. Q: Is it cheaper than booking two companies? A: It can be, but it depends on the job. One trip means one setup and no second visit. Send photos and you’ll see the price before you decide. Q: Do I have to book both? A: No. Hauling and washing are also available on their own. Q: Do I need to be home? A: Not always. If we can get to everything and we’ve agreed on what goes, I can text you photos when it’s finished. ### Put it on a schedule and stop thinking about it URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/recurring-service Sidewalks get dirty again. Enclosures fill up again. Units turn over again. Set a schedule once and I’ll keep showing up, usually early or after hours so your doors stay open. #### What can go on a schedule - Storefront sidewalks and entries - Dumpster pads and enclosures, including dumped-item removal - Drive-thru lanes and restaurant patios - Apartment common areas and walkways - Standing turnover hauls for property managers #### How often Weekly, every other week, monthly, or quarterly. Busy sidewalks and food-service enclosures usually need it more often than an office entry. Send photos and I’ll tell you what the site actually needs. #### What you get every visit - Work scheduled around your business hours - Runoff kept out of storm drains whenever the site allows - After photos texted to you for your records - Invoiced per visit by default, or monthly for recurring commercial stops Q: Is there a contract? A: No long contract. Text me at least 48 hours ahead to skip or cancel a scheduled visit. Q: Can you add a one-off haul? A: Yes. Text a photo and it can go on the next visit. Q: Do you work with multiple locations? A: Yes. I cover San Diego County plus Temecula and Murrieta. Send me the list of stops and I’ll tell you what fits the week. ### Turnovers cleared without you on site URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/property-managers Send photos and the gate code. I quote it, clear it, wash the entry if you want, and text you after photos. Your next tenant walks into an empty unit. Text (619) 972-3798. #### What managers book - Move-out and eviction-aftermath cleanouts, once the unit is legally yours to clear - Dumped mattresses and furniture at enclosures and alleys - Dumpster pad, entry and walkway washing - Scheduled common-area service #### How it fits your workflow - Quotes by text from photos, with no site meeting needed - Lockboxes and gate codes are fine - After photos for your file and your owner - Certificate of insurance on request - Usual turnaround: same-day or next-day when the schedule allows, usually within 24–48 hours for a standard turnover - Invoicing: text invoice per job, or monthly for accounts with regular work #### Real work Someone stashed old mattresses on a hillside walkway behind a block wall. We hauled every one out and left the path clear. See the job on Our Work. Q: Can you do this without me there? A: Yes. Send access details and photos, and we can do the work without you on site, then text after photos. Q: Do you handle tenant belongings? A: Only once you tell me the unit is legally yours to clear. California has rules for property a tenant leaves behind, so check with your attorney first. My guide covers the basics. Q: Can I get one invoice per property? A: Yes. One invoice per property, or one monthly invoice for a portfolio if that’s easier. ### Get the listing photo-ready URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/realtors Garage full of stuff. Junk along the side yard. A gray driveway in the first shot of the listing. Send me photos and I’ll clear and wash it before your photographer shows up. #### The pre-listing list - Garage and storage cleanouts - Leftover furniture and appliances removed - Yard waste and side-yard junk hauled - Driveway, walkway and patio washed - Estate and downsizing cleanouts, handled with care #### Why agents use one call One crew and one estimate means you’re not lining up a hauler and a washer around the photo date. Tell me the date you need it done and I’ll tell you straight whether I can hit it. #### For sellers who are far away If the items are accessible and we’ve agreed on exactly what goes, nobody needs to be there. You get after photos by text. Q: How fast can you get it done? A: Same-day and next-day depend on my schedule, so text me your photo date and I’ll give you a straight answer. Q: Who pays? A: Whoever books it. Tell me if it’s the agent, the seller, or escrow and I’ll invoice that way. Q: Can things get donated? A: Yes, when they’re in good shape. Tell me what the seller wants kept. ### Dumped junk gone. Common areas clean. URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/hoa Mattresses behind the wall. Couches at the enclosure. Walkways going gray. I clear it and wash it, then send after photos you can hand straight to the board. #### What communities book - Illegal dumping removal from slopes, walkways and enclosures - Dumpster enclosure and pad washing - Common-area walkway and entry washing - Scheduled service so it doesn’t build up again #### What a board needs from a vendor - A written price before work starts - Certificate of insurance on request - After photos for the file - Runoff kept out of storm drains whenever the site allows #### Real work On one job, old mattresses had been stashed on a hillside walkway behind a block wall. We hauled every one out and left the path clear. Q: Can you work with our management company? A: Yes. Send the access details and who should get the photos and invoice. Q: Can you remove items from a slope? A: Send photos. If it can be reached safely, we carry it out. ### Debris off your site without a dumpster at the curb URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/contractors Tight alleys, street parking and upstairs units are normal here. A haul-away trailer comes in, we load it, and it leaves. You keep your crew on the work. #### What we haul - Remodel and ADU tear-out debris - Drywall, lumber and flooring scraps - Old cabinets, fixtures and appliances - End-of-job site cleanups, with a wash of the driveway on request #### What we don’t No asbestos and no hazardous materials. Materials that may contain asbestos must be tested and removed by a certified abatement contractor. Heavy material like concrete, dirt or tile is priced differently, so send a photo. #### Working with you - Quote by text from a site photo - Repeat pickups: text when the pile is ready and I’ll put you on the next open slot that week - Same-day and next-day depending on my schedule - Certificate of insurance on request Q: What’s the most you can take per load? A: A 5×10 trailer, about 9 cubic yards when the walls are up. Weight depends on the material, so send a photo and I’ll tell you if it’s one load or more. Q: Do I have to be on site? A: No, as long as the debris is accessible and we’ve agreed on what goes. ### What customers say URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/reviews I don’t write reviews, and I don’t edit them. When a customer leaves one, it stays in their words. Until a set is ready to show here, read and leave an honest review on Yelp. A Google review link will be added after the Business Profile is verified. #### Where to read them The reviews that exist today are on Yelp. I am not pasting them onto this page or turning them into a star rating. #### Not happy with a job? Text me at (619) 972-3798. I answer day or night, and I would rather fix it than argue about it. ### Yes, we’re insured. Ask for the certificate. URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/proof-of-insurance If you manage property or run a business, you probably need paperwork before anyone starts. Text (619) 972-3798 or email phw.sdservices@gmail.com and I’ll get it to you. #### What’s covered - Coverage type: General liability - Limits: Shown on the certificate (text me for the current COI) - Carrier: NEXT #### Need to be listed on the certificate? Send your company name, address and any wording your vendor packet requires. Usually same day by email or text once I have your company name and any additional-insured wording #### Vendor packets W-9 and certificate of insurance on request Send the packet and I’ll tell you what else it needs. ### How much does pressure washing cost in San Diego? URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/pressure-washing-cost I don’t publish a price list, because every surface is different. This guide collects published numbers so you can sanity-check any quote, including mine. These are not my prices. #### Published numbers - Typical driveway, national | $100 to $500, often $100 to $250 | Angi (published figure, not a PHW price) - Driveway, per square foot | $0.20 to $0.40 | Angi (published figure, not a PHW price) - Typical two-car driveway | $120 to $320 | HomeAdvisor (published figure, not a PHW price) - Driveway, per square foot, January 2026 | From $0.42 to $0.52 | Homewyse (published figure, not a PHW price) #### What moves the price - Square footage - Surface: concrete, pavers, or a pool deck - How heavy the staining is, and whether oil needs a pre-treatment - Access to water, and how far equipment has to go - Runoff limits at the site #### What to ask any washer - Is the price for the whole surface or per hour? - Are stains pre-treated, or just rinsed? - Where does the wash water go? - Are you insured? #### Get a real number Square footage, surface and staining set my price, and photos show all three. Text them to (619) 972-3798. Q: How often should I wash a driveway? A: Most San Diego driveways look best with a wash about once a year. Driveways under trees, near the coast or with heavy traffic often need it more. Q: Will it remove oil stains? A: A degreaser pre-treatment lifts most fresh and moderate drips. Old oil soaked deep into concrete usually lightens rather than disappearing. ### What we take, and what we can’t URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/what-we-take If you can point at it and it isn’t hazardous, we can usually haul it. Not sure? Text a photo and ask. #### Yes, we take it - Couches, sectionals and sleeper sofas - Mattresses, box springs, frames and headboards - Patio furniture and umbrellas - Refrigerators and freezers (empty them first) - Washers, dryers and other appliances - Water heaters (drained and disconnected first) - TVs and electronics - Hot tubs, sheds and play sets - Palm fronds, branches, brush and bagged yard waste - Construction and renovation debris - Boxes, bags and general clutter #### Yes, with prep - Gas stoves and dryers: must be disconnected and capped first by you or a qualified technician - Mattresses with suspected bedbugs: tell me when you book and seal it in a mattress bag - Heavy material like concrete, dirt or tile: priced differently, so send a photo #### No, we can’t take it - Paint, solvents and chemicals - Pesticides and pool chemicals - Motor oil, fuel and propane tanks - Batteries in bulk - Asbestos - Medical waste, or anything that might be contaminated #### Where the “no” items go San Diego County offers household hazardous waste drop-off and pickup programs. See the disposal guide for details. ### Estate cleanout checklist URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/estate-cleanout-checklist You don’t have to do it all at once. Work in this order and the important things get found before anything leaves the house. #### Before anything moves 1. Confirm who has the legal authority to clear the home. Ask the estate’s attorney if you’re not sure. 2. Secure the home and change the locks if needed. 3. Find the papers: wills, deeds, titles, tax records, insurance and bank statements. 4. Set aside valuables, medications, keys and firearms, and handle each one properly. 5. Take photos of each room before you start. #### Sort room by room 1. Agree with family on who takes what, in writing if it could cause a fight. 2. Mark items as keep, sell, donate or haul. 3. Check pockets, books, drawers and boxes. Things get tucked away. 4. Have anything that might be valuable appraised before it goes. #### Clear it out 1. Send me photos when what’s left is ready to go. 2. Tell me anything that’s off limits. I can work around it. 3. Usable items get donated when we can, and the rest goes to licensed facilities. 4. Sweep up, then wash the driveway or patio if the house is being sold. Q: Do I have to be there? A: Not always. If we’ve agreed exactly what goes and can get in, I’ll text you photos when it’s done. That helps out-of-town family. ### A tenant left stuff behind. Talk to your attorney first. URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/tenant-left-belongings-san-diego Don’t haul it yet. California has rules for property a former tenant leaves behind. I am a hauler, not a lawyer, and I will not guess the notice period or the dollar threshold. Ask your attorney which notice applies. Once they tell you the unit is yours to clear, text me photos at (619) 972-3798. #### What I need from you - Confirmation from you that the unit is legally yours to clear - Photos of what is left - Access details, such as a lockbox or gate code #### What this page does not include No notice periods and no dollar amounts. Those stay off this site until a California landlord-tenant attorney writes or approves them. Q: Can you clear a unit the same day a tenant leaves? A: Not until you tell me an attorney or your property manager says the belongings are yours to remove. Text (619) 972-3798 when that is settled and I will quote the cleanout from photos. ### Lo sacamos. Lo lavamos. Listo. Quotes are good for 7 days unless what’s on site changes #### What you’re responsible for - Having the right to remove what you ask us to haul - Setting aside anything you want to keep - Giving us access and telling us about gate codes, stairs or parking limits - Disconnecting gas and water lines before we arrive #### What we won’t take We can’t take hazardous materials, including paint, chemicals, fuel, propane tanks, asbestos and medical waste. #### Cancellations and payment Text at least 24 hours ahead to cancel a booked job at no charge. Payment is due when the job is done unless we agreed on an invoice. Card, cash, and Zelle work; commercial accounts can invoice #### Damage and claims Text photos to (619) 972-3798 the same day and I’ll make it right. Formal liability wording is on the certificate and any work agreement we send ### Accessibility URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/accessibility I want this site to work for everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboards or other assistive tools. #### Having trouble? Tell me the page and the problem, and I can take your quote request directly. #### What we’re doing If something on the site is hard to use, text me and I’ll fix it. I keep the pages simple: phone, text quote, and clear service pages ## Services ### Junk Removal URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/junk-removal Point at it and it goes. Pacific Haul & Wash removes furniture, mattresses, appliances, yard waste, construction debris and everyday clutter from homes, rentals and businesses across San Diego County. We do the lifting, loading and hauling, then leave the area swept and clear. Q: How does junk removal work in San Diego? A: Junk removal in San Diego works in three steps with Pacific Haul & Wash: text photos to (619) 972-3798, get a clear estimate based on load size, then our crew lifts, loads and hauls everything away. Usable items are donated or recycled when possible, and the rest goes to licensed San Diego County facilities. Q: Does the City of San Diego pick up bulky items? A: Not right now. The City of San Diego says its planned curbside bulky item pickup is paused until further notice. Residents can self-haul to the Miramar Landfill, which charges per load, or hire a hauler. Pacific Haul & Wash picks items up from inside your home, so nothing has to go to the curb. #### Full-service junk hauling, not just a pickup You don't have to drag anything to the curb. We pick items up from wherever they are, whether that's a garage, a back bedroom, a balcony, a side yard or an upstairs unit, and carry them out ourselves. Most jobs are a mix: an old couch, a few bags, some lumber from a project and a mattress nobody wanted to deal with. Send it all in one request and we'll quote the whole load. #### Who we work with Homeowners and renters clearing out a room or a garage. Landlords and property managers turning over a unit. HOAs dealing with items dumped in common areas. Contractors and DIYers left with renovation debris. Small businesses getting rid of old fixtures, furniture or inventory. #### Where your junk goes When an item is still usable, we try to keep it out of the landfill by donating or recycling it when possible. The rest goes to licensed disposal and transfer facilities in San Diego County. #### What we haul - Couches, sectionals, recliners and chairs - Mattresses and box springs - Washers, dryers, fridges and other appliances - Desks, dressers, bed frames and tables - Yard waste, branches and bagged green waste - Lumber, drywall, tile and renovation debris - Boxes, bags and general household junk - Exercise equipment, grills and patio furniture - Items dumped on your property #### How it is priced - Volume: how much of the trailer your items fill is the biggest factor. - Weight and material: concrete, dirt, tile and roofing are heavy and priced differently from furniture. - Item type: mattresses, appliances with refrigerant, tires and electronics have their own disposal or recycling rules. - Access: stairs, long carries, tight hallways and disassembly add labor. - You get the estimate before any work starts, based on your photos. #### What we cannot take - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) - Asbestos or suspected asbestos materials (these need a certified abatement contractor) - Medical waste, sharps and biohazard material - Loose household batteries (all batteries are hazardous waste in California) #### How it works 1. Text a few photos: Send pictures of what needs to go to (619) 972-3798, or use the quote form. A rough description works too. 2. Get a clear estimate: We price by how much space your items take up and what they are, and tell you the estimate before any work starts. 3. We load and haul: We carry everything out, load the trailer, and leave the area swept and clear. Q: How much does junk removal cost in San Diego? A: Junk removal pricing depends on how much space your items take up in the trailer, what the items are, and how easy they are to reach. A single mattress costs far less than a full garage, and heavy material like concrete, dirt or tile is priced differently than furniture. Stairs, long carries and disposal fees for certain items also factor in. The fastest way to get an exact number is to text photos to (619) 972-3798 and we'll send you a clear estimate before any work starts. Q: What items do you take? A: We take most household and business junk: furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, yard waste, construction and renovation debris, boxes, bags and general clutter. If you can point at it and it isn't hazardous, we can usually haul it. Not sure about something? Text us a photo and ask. Q: What can't you take? A: We can't take hazardous materials, including paint, solvents, chemicals, pesticides, motor oil, fuel, propane tanks, asbestos, medical waste or anything that might be contaminated. San Diego County runs household hazardous waste drop-off programs for those items. If you're unsure, send a photo and we'll let you know. Q: Do I need to be home for the pickup? A: Not always. If the items are accessible, for example in a driveway, a side yard or an unlocked garage, and we've agreed on exactly what goes, we can often handle the pickup without you there. Just tell us when you book. Q: Do you donate or recycle what you haul? A: Yes, when possible. Usable furniture and items in good condition can go to donation, and materials like metal and cardboard can be recycled. Anything that can't be reused goes to licensed disposal facilities. ### Pressure Washing URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/pressure-washing Concrete in San Diego takes a beating from tire marks, oil drips, sun-baked grime, bird droppings, leaf stains and that dull gray film that builds up over time. Pacific Haul & Wash pressure washes driveways, patios, walkways, pool decks, entryways and storefronts to bring surfaces back to clean. Q: What surfaces can be pressure washed in San Diego? A: Most exterior hard surfaces can be pressure washed: concrete driveways, garage aprons, patios, pavers, pool decks, sidewalks, entryways, block walls and dumpster pads. Pacific Haul & Wash matches pressure and technique to each surface, using a rotary surface cleaner on flat concrete and lower pressure on pavers and stone. Q: Is pressure washing the same as power washing? A: They are close but not identical. Both use high-pressure water; power washing usually refers to heated water, while pressure washing uses unheated water. For most San Diego driveways, patios and walkways, a pressure wash with pre-treatment of oil and organic stains gives an even, clean result without damaging the surface. #### How our pressure washing works We start by clearing the area and pre-treating heavy stains like oil and organic buildup. On flat concrete we use a surface cleaner, a spinning attachment that cleans evenly and avoids the zebra stripes a handheld wand can leave. Edges, steps and corners get detailed with a wand, and we rinse everything to finish. Pressure and technique are matched to the surface. Concrete can handle more than pavers, and painted or delicate surfaces need a softer approach, so we look at the surface first rather than blasting everything the same way. #### Pairs well with a haul-out Many properties need both. Clear out the junk from a side yard or garage, then wash down the concrete it was sitting on, all in one visit with one crew. It's the whole reason we do haul and wash under one name. #### Water-conscious cleaning Pressure washing uses far less water per square foot than a garden hose, and we work to keep wash water and debris out of storm drains, in line with San Diego's storm water rules. #### Surfaces we clean - Concrete driveways and garage aprons - Patios, pavers and pool decks - Sidewalks, walkways and entry paths - Storefronts, entryways and dumpster areas - Block walls and exterior concrete - Stairs, landings and common areas - Move-out and listing-ready exterior cleanups #### How it is priced - Square footage of the surface is the main factor. - Surface type: concrete, pavers, stone and painted surfaces need different pressure and time. - Staining: oil, rust and heavy organic buildup need pre-treatment. - Access and water: we confirm a usable outdoor spigot when you book. - Adding washing to a haul-out in the same visit saves a second trip. #### What we cannot take - Roof washing - Painted siding or wood that needs a soft wash - Asphalt sealing or concrete repair #### How it works 1. Send photos of the area: A couple of pictures of the surface and any stains let us give you an accurate estimate. 2. We prep and treat: We clear the area and pre-treat heavy stains before washing. 3. Wash, detail and rinse: Surface cleaner on the flats, detail work on the edges and steps, then a full rinse. Q: How much does pressure washing cost in San Diego? A: Pressure washing cost depends mainly on the square footage, the type of surface and how heavy the staining is. A standard driveway is a different job than a large patio with oil stains or a commercial walkway. Access and water availability matter too. Text photos of the area to (619) 972-3798 and we'll send a clear estimate. Q: Will pressure washing remove oil stains? A: Pressure washing with a pre-treatment removes most fresh and moderate oil stains and noticeably lightens old ones. Oil that has soaked into concrete for years may not come out completely, and we'll tell you honestly what to expect after seeing photos. Q: Can pressure washing damage concrete or pavers? A: Pressure washing can damage surfaces if the pressure is too high or the nozzle is held too close, which is why we match pressure and technique to each surface. Concrete tolerates more pressure, while pavers, older concrete and painted surfaces need a gentler approach. Q: How often should I pressure wash my driveway? A: Most San Diego driveways look their best with a pressure wash about once a year. Homes near trees, the coast or busy streets, and properties getting ready to sell or rent, often benefit from more frequent cleaning. ### Property Cleanouts URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/property-cleanouts Some jobs are bigger than one couch. When a rental unit, garage, side yard or whole property needs to be emptied and reset, Pacific Haul & Wash clears it out, hauls everything away and can pressure wash the exterior surfaces so the property is ready for the next step. Q: What is included in a property cleanout? A: A property cleanout includes removing everything unwanted from a home, unit, garage or lot in one visit: furniture, bags, boxes, appliances, mattresses and debris. Pacific Haul & Wash sorts around anything you keep, hauls the rest, leaves the space broom-clean, and can pressure wash the driveway, patio or entry in the same trip. Q: How fast can a rental be cleaned out in San Diego? A: Most single-unit rental cleanouts take one visit of a few hours, depending on how much was left behind and how easy it is to reach. Text photos of each room to (619) 972-3798 with your turnover date, and we will tell you the soonest opening and a firm estimate before we start. #### One crew, start to finish A cleanout usually means hauling, sorting and some cleaning, and coordinating different companies for each part slows everything down. We haul out everything that needs to go and can wash down driveways, patios and walkways in the same visit. #### Built for property managers and landlords Turnover time costs money. Send us photos of what the last tenant left behind and we'll quote the full cleanout. We're used to working around lockboxes, gate codes and HOA rules, and we can send after photos when the job is done so you don't have to drive out. #### Careful with what matters In estate and family cleanouts, not everything is junk. Tell us what to keep, set aside, or look out for, like paperwork, photos or keepsakes, and we'll work around it. #### Cleanouts we handle - Tenant move-out and rental turnover cleanouts - Garage and storage room cleanouts - Estate and downsizing cleanouts - Side yard, backyard and patio cleanups - Dumped items and illegal dumping cleanup - Pre-listing and pre-move-in cleanups - Small commercial and office cleanouts #### How it is priced - Total volume across every room, garage and yard area. - Heavy material such as dirt, concrete or tile. - Sorting time if items need to be separated for keeping, donation or recycling. - Access: stairs, elevators, gate codes and parking. - Optional pressure washing quoted together with the haul-out. #### What we cannot take - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) - Asbestos or suspected asbestos materials (these need a certified abatement contractor) - Medical waste, sharps and biohazard material #### How it works 1. Walk us through it: Text photos or a quick video of each area, or request an on-site look for large properties. 2. Get one estimate: One clear estimate covers the haul-out plus any washing you want added. 3. We clear and reset: We empty the space, haul everything off, and leave it broom-clean. Q: What is a property cleanout? A: A property cleanout is removing everything unwanted from a home, unit, garage or lot at once, instead of item by item. It's common after a tenant moves out, before a home is listed, after a loved one passes, or when a space has been used as storage for years. Q: Can you clean out a rental after a tenant leaves? A: Yes, rental turnover cleanouts are one of our core jobs. We haul out leftover furniture, bags, mattresses and trash, and can pressure wash the entry, patio or driveway so the unit is ready to show. Q: Do you do estate cleanouts? A: Yes. We handle estate and downsizing cleanouts with care, working around anything the family wants to keep and donating usable items when possible. ### Furniture Removal URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/furniture-removal Old couches and sectionals are heavy, awkward and don't fit in most cars. We carry furniture out of any room, down stairs and through tight hallways, load it and haul it away so you don't have to rent a truck or wait for a bulky item pickup. Q: How do I get rid of an old couch in San Diego? A: You can donate a couch in good condition, self-haul it to a landfill or transfer station, or hire a hauler. The City of San Diego's curbside bulky item pickup is paused, so Pacific Haul & Wash carries the couch out from any room, loads it and hauls it away the same visit. Q: Will a donation center take my used furniture? A: Often, if it is clean and undamaged. Goodwill San Diego and Father Joe's Villages accept gently used household goods, with rules that vary by item and location. Stained, broken or pet-damaged pieces are usually refused, which is when a haul-away makes sense. We donate usable pieces when possible. #### From the room it's in to gone We handle the heavy lifting, from upstairs apartments to back bedrooms and garages. If a piece needs to come apart to get out a door, we take care of that too. Usable furniture in good shape can go to donation when possible, which keeps it out of the landfill. #### Furniture we remove - Couches, sofas, sleeper sofas and sectionals - Recliners and armchairs - Dressers, nightstands and armoires - Bed frames and headboards - Dining tables and chairs - Office desks and filing cabinets - Bookshelves and entertainment centers - Patio furniture #### How it is priced - Number and size of pieces - Stairs, long carries or disassembly - Whether pieces can be donated or must go to disposal #### What we cannot take - Furniture with active bedbug or pest infestations unless sealed and disclosed - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) Q: Do you take couches and sectionals? A: Yes, couches and sectionals are some of the most common items we haul. We carry them out of the house, load them and take them away, including sleeper sofas and multi-piece sectionals. Q: Can you take apart a sectional or bed frame? A: Yes. If a sectional, bed frame, desk or entertainment center won't fit through a doorway, we take it apart to get it out without damaging walls or door frames. Q: Do you remove furniture from upstairs apartments? A: Yes, we carry furniture down stairs and through tight hallways in apartments, condos and townhomes. Tell us about stairs or elevator rules when you book so we can plan the crew. Q: Can you pick up patio furniture? A: Yes, we haul patio sets, umbrellas, loungers and outdoor furniture, including pieces that have been weathered beyond donation. ### Mattress Removal URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/mattress-removal A mattress is the item everyone means to get rid of and nobody wants to move. We pick up mattresses and box springs from bedrooms, garages, curbs and anywhere they've been left, including stacks dumped behind buildings, and haul them away in one trip. Q: Where can I get rid of a mattress in San Diego? A: The City of San Diego accepts mattresses and box springs free at its Miramar Landfill mattress collection site, 5161 Convoy St., Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., through the Bye Bye Mattress program. They must be dry and bedbug-free. If you cannot haul it, Pacific Haul & Wash picks it up. Q: Are mattresses recycled in California? A: Yes. California's Bye Bye Mattress program, run by the Mattress Recycling Council, funds free mattress drop-off sites through a fee on each new mattress sold. Recycled mattresses are broken into steel, foam, fibers and wood. In San Diego County, the Miramar, Otay and Sycamore landfills and the Palomar Transfer Station participate. #### Real jobs, real results The photos on this site are our own work: a single mattress picked up from beside a home, and a stack of mattresses someone hid behind a dumpster enclosure on a hillside. Both gone in one trip. Mattresses are bulky and many disposal sites handle them separately, so where possible they go to facilities that recycle the foam, steel and fabric. #### Common mattress jobs - Single mattress or box spring pickup - Full bed set: mattress, box spring and frame - Mattresses left behind by tenants - Mattresses dumped on property or common areas - Mattress pickup with other furniture #### How it is priced - Number of mattresses and box springs - Where they are (upstairs, garage, curbside) - Condition, since unrecyclable mattresses go to disposal #### What we cannot take - Waterbeds that still hold water (drain them first) Q: Can you pick up just one mattress? A: Yes, we pick up single mattresses. Text a photo of the mattress and where it is to (619) 972-3798 and we'll send a quote. Adding other items to the same trip is often the most cost-effective option. Q: Can a wet or damaged mattress be recycled? A: Usually not. The City's collection site turns away mattresses that are wet, severely damaged, soiled or infested with bedbugs. Those go to regular disposal instead, which we handle as part of the pickup. Q: Do you take box springs and bed frames too? A: Yes. We take the mattress, box spring, frame and headboard together, and can take them apart in the room if needed. Q: Should I bag the mattress before pickup? A: You don't have to. If you suspect bedbugs, tell us when you book and seal the mattress in a plastic mattress bag before we arrive. ### Appliance Removal URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/appliance-removal Replaced a fridge or a washer and the store won't take the old one? We remove refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, water heaters and other large appliances from kitchens, garages and laundry rooms. Q: How do I dispose of an old refrigerator in San Diego? A: Empty it, defrost it, and disconnect the water line, then have it hauled to a facility that recovers refrigerant. The City of San Diego requires appliances to be properly handled before a load enters the Miramar Landfill, so a fridge can't simply be tossed. Pacific Haul & Wash removes it from your kitchen or garage. Q: Can I put a washer or dryer in the trash? A: No. Large appliances are not regular trash in San Diego, and the Miramar Landfill requires appliances to be properly disposed of before loads enter. Appliances are recycled for their metal, and refrigerant units need certified handling. Have water and gas shut off and lines disconnected before we arrive, and we carry it out. #### Disconnected and ready to go For the fastest pickup, have appliances disconnected from water and gas before we arrive. Appliances that contain refrigerant, like fridges and AC units, are taken to facilities that can handle them properly, and metal is recycled when possible. #### Appliances we remove - Refrigerators and freezers - Washers and dryers - Stoves, ranges and ovens - Dishwashers and microwaves - Water heaters - Window AC units and dehumidifiers #### How it is priced - Number and type of appliances - Refrigerant-containing units have added handling - Stairs and tight laundry rooms #### What we cannot take - Appliances still connected to gas, water or hardwired power - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) Q: Do you take old refrigerators? A: Yes, we remove old refrigerators and freezers. Please empty them first. Because they contain refrigerant, we take them to facilities that handle appliances properly instead of a regular landfill. Q: Do you disconnect gas appliances? A: No. For safety, gas stoves and dryers need to be disconnected and capped by you or a qualified technician before we arrive. Electric and water connections should be unplugged and shut off too. Q: Do you take water heaters? A: Yes, once the water heater has been drained and disconnected by you or your plumber, we can haul it away for metal recycling. ### Yard Waste Removal URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/yard-waste-removal A weekend of yard work can leave more than the green bin can hold. We haul away bagged yard waste, branches, brush, palm fronds, old planters and leftover materials from landscaping projects so your yard is actually finished. Q: What do I do with extra yard waste in San Diego? A: Fill your green bin first, then haul the overflow to a facility that accepts green waste or hire a hauler. Miramar Landfill charges separately for green waste loads. Pacific Haul & Wash loads branches, brush, palm fronds and bagged clippings in one trip, and green waste goes to composting or green waste facilities when possible. Q: Is brush clearing important for fire safety in San Diego County? A: Yes. Dead brush and dry vegetation near homes add fuel during wildfire season, especially in East County and inland North County. After you or your landscaper cut it back, Pacific Haul & Wash hauls the piles away so dry material isn't left sitting on the property waiting for the green bin. #### Overflow from the green bin City green bins fill up fast after trimming season. Instead of waiting weeks to work through a pile, we load it in one trip. Green waste goes to composting or green waste facilities when possible. Heavy materials like dirt, rock and concrete are priced differently than green waste, so mention them when you send photos. #### Yard debris we haul - Bagged leaves, clippings and green waste - Branches, brush and palm fronds - Old fencing, panels and lattice - Broken planters, pots and pavers - Old sheds and play sets (taken apart) - Sod and small amounts of dirt #### How it is priced - Volume of green waste - Heavy material like dirt, rock or sod - Access to backyards, slopes or side yards #### What we cannot take - Uncut standing trees - Treated or painted wood mixed into green waste (we separate it) - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) Q: Do you haul palm fronds and branches? A: Yes, we haul palm fronds, branches, brush and bagged yard waste. Bundled or bagged material loads fastest, but we can take loose piles too. Q: Do you cut trees or trim brush? A: We focus on hauling. If brush or branches are already cut, bagged or piled, we load and haul them. For tree work, hire a tree service first and we can clear the debris afterward. Q: Can you take dirt, rock or sod? A: Small amounts, yes. Dirt, rock and sod are heavy, so they are priced by weight and volume differently than green waste. Mention them in your photos. ### Construction Debris Removal URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/construction-debris-removal Remodels leave piles: old cabinets, drywall, lumber, tile, flooring and fixtures. We haul renovation and construction debris for homeowners, DIYers and contractors, without the permit, driveway damage or wait that comes with a dumpster rental. Q: What is the cheapest way to get rid of construction debris in San Diego? A: For small and medium remodels, a haul-away is often cheaper than a dumpster because you pay only for the space your debris fills and loading is included. Self-hauling to Miramar Landfill costs a per-load or per-ton construction and demolition fee. For long demolition projects, a dumpster can make more sense. Q: Can construction debris be recycled in San Diego County? A: Much of it can. Clean wood, metal, concrete and some drywall can go to construction and demolition recyclers listed by the County of San Diego, and the Miramar Landfill charges less for clean wood than mixed debris. Keeping materials separated before pickup helps more of your remodel waste get recycled. #### A dumpster alternative With a haul-away you only pay for what we take, nothing sits in your driveway for a week, and we do the loading. For balconies, upstairs units and tight lots where a dumpster won't fit, it's often the only practical option. One of our favorite jobs: a balcony buried wall to wall in lumber, broken boards and bagged debris, completely cleared in one visit. You can see it in our work gallery. #### Debris we remove - Lumber, boards and framing scraps - Drywall and plaster - Tile, flooring and carpet - Old cabinets, vanities and countertops - Doors, windows and fixtures - Fencing and decking #### How it is priced - Volume and weight; concrete, tile and roofing are heavy - Mixed versus separated loads - Carries from balconies, upstairs units or backyards #### What we cannot take - Asbestos or suspected asbestos materials (these need a certified abatement contractor) - Lead-painted materials that have not been properly contained - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) Q: Is junk removal cheaper than renting a dumpster? A: Junk removal is often more cost-effective than a dumpster for small and medium amounts of debris, because you only pay for the space your debris takes up and the loading is included. For a long, ongoing demolition project, a dumpster may make more sense. Send photos and we'll give you an honest recommendation. Q: Do you work with contractors? A: Yes. We haul debris for general contractors, remodelers, handymen and DIY homeowners, including mid-project pickups to keep a site clear. Q: Can you remove old popcorn ceiling or vinyl tile? A: Only if it has tested negative for asbestos. Older popcorn ceilings, flooring and pipe insulation can contain asbestos, which must be removed by a certified abatement contractor. ### Illegal Dumping Cleanup URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/illegal-dumping-cleanup Mattresses behind the dumpster enclosure, a couch in the alley, bags on the hillside. When someone dumps on your property, it becomes your problem to clear. We remove dumped items from apartment communities, HOAs, commercial lots and private property across San Diego County. Q: How do I report illegal dumping in San Diego? A: Report illegal dumping in the City of San Diego through the Get It Done app or website. In unincorporated areas, contact the County of San Diego. Items dumped on private property are usually the owner's responsibility, so Pacific Haul & Wash removes them quickly for HOAs, property managers and owners. Q: Can you clean up dumped items without me on site? A: Yes. Text a photo and the exact location to (619) 972-3798. Once the estimate is approved, we clear the items, sweep the area and send an after photo, so property managers and HOA boards do not need to drive out to confirm the job is done. #### Send a photo, we handle the rest Text a photo and the location to (619) 972-3798. We quote it, haul it away and can send an after photo so you know it's done without making a trip. Our hillside job is a good example: a stack of mattresses hidden behind a dumpster enclosure, all hauled out and the walkway left clear. After the cleanup, a quick pressure wash of the enclosure or walkway helps the area stay looking cared for. #### Where we clean up - Apartment dumpster enclosures - HOA common areas and hillsides - Alleys and parking lots - Vacant lots and side yards - Storefronts and loading areas #### How it is priced - Volume of dumped items - Mattresses and appliances have their own disposal rules - Recurring visits are quoted per visit #### What we cannot take - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) - Medical waste, sharps and biohazard material Q: Who is responsible for removing items dumped on my property? A: In most cases the property owner or manager is responsible for removing items dumped on private property. You can report illegal dumping to the City of San Diego through its Get It Done app, and hire a hauler like us to clear private property quickly. Q: Do you work with HOAs and apartment communities on a recurring basis? A: Yes. Communities with repeat dumping often book recurring visits for dumpster enclosures and common areas. Ask us about setting up a schedule. Q: What if the dumped items include chemicals or needles? A: Tell us before we arrive. We don't handle hazardous waste or sharps; those need a hazardous waste or biohazard service. We can clear the rest of the pile around them. ### Garage Cleanouts URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/garage-cleanouts If your garage holds everything except a car, you're not alone. We clear out boxes, old furniture, broken appliances, exercise equipment, everyday clutter and years of "I'll deal with it later" so you can actually use the space again. Q: How do I start a garage cleanout? A: Start by deciding what stays, then set aside anything hazardous like paint, fuel and chemicals for a household hazardous waste drop-off. Mark keepers with tape or move them to one side. Pacific Haul & Wash hauls everything else in one visit and can pressure wash the garage floor and apron afterward. Q: What should I do with old paint and chemicals from the garage? A: Take them to a household hazardous waste facility, not the trash. City of San Diego residents can book a free appointment at the Miramar HHW Transfer Facility, Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Unincorporated County residents can call 877-713-2784. Haulers like us cannot take hazardous materials. #### Sort first, or let us take it all Some people sort ahead of time, others want everything gone. Either way works. Mark what stays and we'll haul the rest. Old paint, fuel and chemicals are hazardous and can't go in our trailer, so set those aside for a county household hazardous waste drop-off. Once it's empty, we can pressure wash the garage floor and driveway apron for a true reset. #### Typical garage items - Boxes and storage bins - Old furniture and mattresses - Fridges, freezers and washers - Exercise equipment - Bikes, toys and sports gear - Shelving and workbenches #### How it is priced - How full the garage is - Appliances, mattresses or exercise equipment - Optional floor and driveway pressure washing #### What we cannot take - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) - Vehicle batteries and loose lithium batteries Q: How long does a garage cleanout take? A: Most single-garage cleanouts take a few hours, depending on how full it is and how much sorting is needed. Text photos and we'll give you an estimate of both cost and time. Q: Can you take shelving and workbenches? A: Yes. We take down free-standing shelving and haul old workbenches. Shelving bolted to the wall can be removed if you want the space cleared. Q: Do I need to sort before you arrive? A: No. Sorting ahead helps, but you can also point out what stays as we go. Paperwork and keepsakes are set aside if you ask. ### Move-Out Cleanouts URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/move-out-cleanouts Moving is hard enough without figuring out what to do with everything that didn't make the truck. We clear leftover furniture, bags, boxes and trash from apartments, condos and houses so the place is empty and ready for the walkthrough or the next tenant. Q: What is a move-out cleanout? A: A move-out cleanout clears everything left behind in an apartment, condo or house after a move: furniture, mattresses, bags, boxes and trash. Pacific Haul & Wash empties the unit in one visit, leaves it broom-clean and ready for the walkthrough, and can pressure wash the entry or patio for the next tenant. Q: Can a landlord hire you to clean out a unit after a tenant leaves? A: Yes. Landlords and property managers book us for turnovers once the unit is legally theirs to clear. Send photos and access details like lockboxes or gate codes, and we will quote the full cleanout, do the work without you on site, and text after photos when it is done. #### Empty and ready Our living room job is a good example: bags, boxes and leftover furniture cleared out, leaving an empty room ready for the walkthrough. Add a pressure wash of the entry, patio or driveway for a better first impression on move-in day. #### Who books move-out cleanouts - Tenants trying to get their deposit back - Landlords turning over a unit - Property managers with multiple units - Realtors prepping a listing - Families moving a loved one #### How it is priced - How much was left behind - Stairs, elevators and parking - Optional pressure washing of entries and patios #### What we cannot take - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) - Medical waste, sharps and biohazard material Q: Can you clear out an apartment on short notice? A: Often, yes. Availability depends on our schedule that week, so ask us. Text photos and your move-out date to (619) 972-3798 and we'll tell you the soonest time we can be there. Q: Do you clean inside the unit after hauling? A: We leave the unit broom-clean after hauling. Deep cleaning such as carpets, kitchens and bathrooms is a separate service from a cleaning company. Q: Can you handle several units at once? A: Yes, we can schedule multiple turnovers for property managers. Send the list of units and photos and we will quote each one. ### Driveway Cleaning URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/driveway-pressure-washing Your driveway is the biggest stretch of concrete most people see when they look at your home. We pressure wash driveways and garage aprons to lift tire marks, oil drips, leaf and rust stains, and the dull gray film that builds up in the San Diego sun. Q: How often should a San Diego driveway be pressure washed? A: Most San Diego driveways look best with a pressure wash about once a year. Driveways under trees, near the coast or with heavy car traffic often need it more. A wash before listing a home or renting a unit is one of the cheapest ways to improve curb appeal. Q: Can pressure washing remove oil stains from concrete? A: Pressure washing with a degreaser pre-treatment lifts most fresh and moderate oil drips. Old oil that has soaked deep into concrete usually lightens rather than fully disappears. Pacific Haul & Wash pre-treats spots, cleans the slab evenly with a rotary surface cleaner, then details edges and joints. #### Even results with a surface cleaner We use a rotary surface cleaner on driveways for an even finish without wand stripes, pre-treat oil spots, and detail the edges and expansion joints. It's one of the fastest ways to boost curb appeal before a sale, a rental listing or a family event. #### What we clean up - Tire marks and gray film - Oil and fluid drips - Leaf, berry and organic stains - Dirt in expansion joints - Garage aprons and side paths #### How it is priced - Driveway square footage - Oil, rust and heavy staining - Add-ons like walkways and garage floors Q: Should I pressure wash my driveway before selling my home? A: Yes, pressure washing the driveway is one of the cheapest ways to improve curb appeal before listing photos and showings. A clean driveway makes the whole front of the house look better maintained. ### Patio & Walkway Cleaning URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/patio-pressure-washing San Diego living happens outside, so patios, pool decks and walkways get heavy use. We pressure wash concrete, pavers and stone to remove dirt, mildew in shady spots, food and drink stains, and the grime that builds up between seasons. Q: Is it safe to pressure wash pavers? A: Yes, with the right technique. Pavers need lower pressure than a concrete slab and an angled approach so joint sand is not blasted out. Pacific Haul & Wash adjusts pressure to each surface and will tell you if your pavers need fresh joint sand after a deep clean. Q: What causes black spots and green film on San Diego patios? A: Black spots and green film on shady patios are usually mildew, algae or organic staining from leaves and planters. They grow where surfaces stay damp, especially near the coast. A pressure wash with pre-treatment removes most of it and makes walkways and pool decks less slippery. #### The right pressure for the surface Pavers and stone need a gentler touch than a concrete slab, so we adjust pressure and technique to protect joints and finishes. Moving patio furniture and clearing debris first is part of the job, and if you have old furniture or yard waste to get rid of, we can haul it the same day. #### Outdoor surfaces we clean - Concrete patios and slabs - Pavers and flagstone - Pool decks - Front walkways and entry paths - Steps and landings - Block walls and planters #### How it is priced - Patio or deck square footage - Pavers and stone take more care than concrete - Moving furniture and clearing debris first Q: Will pressure washing wash out paver sand? A: Pressure washing can loosen some joint sand between pavers, which is why we use lower pressure on pavers and work at an angle. Pavers may need fresh joint sand after a deep clean, and we'll let you know if yours do. ### Storefront & Commercial Washing URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/storefront-pressure-washing Customers judge a business before they walk in. We pressure wash storefront sidewalks, entryways, patios, drive-thru lanes and dumpster enclosures for restaurants, retail shops, offices and apartment communities across San Diego County. Q: Why should a business pressure wash its storefront? A: A clean storefront sidewalk and entry signals a well-run business before customers walk in. Gum, spills, grime and dumpster-area buildup collect fast on busy San Diego sidewalks. Pacific Haul & Wash washes early or after hours so entrances stay open, and can haul dumped items from enclosures first. Q: Where does pressure washing water go? A: Wash water should be kept out of storm drains. San Diego's storm drains flow untreated to creeks, bays and the ocean, so we contain debris, sweep up solids and direct runoff to landscaping or appropriate areas rather than the gutter whenever the site allows. #### Scheduled around your business We can plan washing for early mornings or after hours to avoid disrupting customers, and keep wash water out of storm drains. Dumpster areas often need a haul-out first, so we can clear dumped items and wash the pad in the same visit. #### Commercial areas we wash - Storefront sidewalks and entries - Restaurant patios - Dumpster enclosures and pads - Apartment walkways and stairwells - Gum and grime spots - Small parking areas #### How it is priced - Square footage and number of areas - After-hours scheduling - Recurring washing for restaurants and retail Q: Can you pressure wash before or after business hours? A: Often, yes. Ask us when you request a quote and we'll work out a time that keeps your entrance open for customers. ### Estate Cleanouts URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/estate-cleanouts Clearing a parent's or relative's home is hard enough without the heavy lifting. We work at your pace, set aside paperwork and keepsakes, donate what can be used, and haul the rest, so the house is ready to sell, rent or hand back. Q: How does an estate cleanout work? A: An estate cleanout clears a loved one's home after the family has kept what matters. Pacific Haul & Wash walks the home with you or your agent, sets aside paperwork, photos and keepsakes, donates usable furniture when possible, and hauls the rest. Executors and realtors can approve the estimate by text. Q: Should I hold an estate sale before a cleanout? A: If the home has antiques, collectibles or quality furniture, consider an appraiser or estate sale company first, then book the cleanout for whatever remains. We are haulers, not appraisers. Usable leftovers can still go to Goodwill San Diego or Father Joe's Villages instead of the landfill. #### Working with families, executors and agents Estate cleanouts often involve several decision-makers in different cities. We send the estimate by text or email, work from lockbox access when family can't be there, and send after photos when the home is empty. If anything might have resale value, we recommend an appraiser or estate sale company first. We come in afterward and clear whatever is left, room by room. #### What an estate cleanout covers - Furniture, beds and mattresses from every room - Closets, cabinets, attics and garages - Appliances, electronics and exercise equipment - Yard, patio and shed contents - Donation runs for usable household goods - Pre-listing pressure washing of driveways and walkways #### How it is priced - Total volume across the home, garage and yard - Sorting time for keepsakes and donations - Heavy items like pianos, safes or exercise equipment - Optional pre-listing pressure washing #### What we cannot take - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) - Asbestos or suspected asbestos materials (these need a certified abatement contractor) - Medical waste, sharps and biohazard material - Firearms and ammunition (arrange these with local law enforcement or a licensed dealer) #### How it works 1. Share photos: Text photos of each room, the garage and yard to (619) 972-3798, along with your timeline. 2. Mark what stays: Tag or move keepsakes, paperwork and anything family members are taking. 3. We clear the home: We donate usable items when possible, haul the rest, and leave the home broom-clean. Q: Can you work with an executor or realtor who lives out of town? A: Yes. Out-of-town family members, executors and agents can approve the estimate by text or email, arrange lockbox access, and get after photos when the home is empty. Q: What happens to paperwork and personal documents? A: Tell us what to watch for. We set aside paperwork, photos, letters and keepsakes we find and leave them in a spot you choose, rather than hauling them. Q: Can you clean out the home before it is listed? A: Yes. We empty the house, garage and yard, and can pressure wash the driveway and walkways so the property is ready for listing photos. ### Hoarder Cleanouts URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/hoarder-cleanouts Heavy clutter builds up for many reasons, and nobody needs a lecture about it. We clear homes respectfully and quietly, keep what matters set aside, and plan the work so it gets done without overwhelming the people involved. Q: How is a hoarder cleanout different from a regular cleanout? A: A hoarder cleanout involves more volume, more sorting and more care than a typical cleanout. Pacific Haul & Wash works respectfully and discreetly, clears pathways first, sets aside documents, cash and keepsakes, and may plan the job over several visits. Biohazard material needs a licensed remediation company, which we can work around. Q: What should families know before a hoarding cleanup? A: Involve the person whose home it is whenever possible, agree on what must be kept, and check for hazards like chemicals, sharps, mold or pests. Share photos with us privately by text. We will give an honest estimate, explain how many visits it may take, and keep the work discreet. #### What we handle and what needs a specialist We haul furniture, boxes, bags, clothing, papers, appliances and general clutter. Where there is biohazard material, animal waste, heavy mold or sharps, a licensed remediation company has to handle that portion first, and we work around their schedule. Family members, social workers, landlords and conservators can all book the job. When possible, involve the person whose home it is in deciding what stays. #### How we approach hoarding cleanups - Pathways and exits cleared first for safety - Documents, cash, photos and keepsakes set aside - Room-by-room sorting into keep, donate and haul - Multi-visit plans for large homes - No photos posted, no addresses shared - Coordination with remediation companies when needed #### How it is priced - Total volume, often measured in multiple trailer loads - Sorting time and number of visits - Access and pathways inside the home #### What we cannot take - Medical waste, sharps and biohazard material - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) - Animal waste or mold remediation (licensed remediation required) Q: Do you handle biohazard or trauma cleanup? A: No. Biohazard, trauma and heavy contamination cleanup must be done by a licensed remediation company. We can coordinate around them to haul the furniture, belongings and junk. Q: Is a hoarder cleanout kept confidential? A: Yes. We don't post photos of hoarding jobs or share addresses, and we can use an unmarked approach to the home if you ask. ### Hot Tub Removal URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/hot-tub-removal An old spa takes up the best spot in the yard long after anyone uses it. Once the power is off and the water is drained, we take it apart as needed, carry it out through the side yard and haul everything away, including the cover and steps. Q: How is a hot tub removed? A: Hot tub removal starts with the power shut off and the tub drained. If the spa is hardwired, a licensed electrician should disconnect it first. Pacific Haul & Wash then cuts the shell and cabinet into manageable sections when needed, carries them out through the side yard, and hauls everything away. Q: Can I put an old hot tub on the curb for pickup? A: No. A hot tub is far too large for curbside collection, and the City of San Diego's bulky item pickup is paused. Hot tubs are usually cut apart on site and hauled to a landfill or transfer station, with metal parts recycled when possible. We handle the cutting and hauling. #### Before removal day Turn off the breaker and drain the tub to landscaping, not the street or a storm drain. If the spa is hardwired, have a licensed electrician disconnect and cap the circuit before we arrive. Move spa chemicals to a household hazardous waste drop-off. Measure the narrowest point between the tub and the street. That gate or side yard decides whether the spa comes out whole or in sections. #### Included in hot tub removal - Above-ground hot tubs and portable spas - Spa covers, cover lifters and steps - Cutting the shell and cabinet into sections - Carrying pieces through side yards and gates - Hauling and metal recycling where possible #### How it is priced - Size and construction of the spa - Access path from backyard to trailer - Cutting and disassembly time - Deck or pad removal if requested #### What we cannot take - Hot tubs still connected to power - Spa chemicals (take them to household hazardous waste) Q: Do you remove the concrete pad under a hot tub? A: The pad is a separate job. Tell us if the slab or a deck needs to go and we will quote it, or leave it in place and pressure wash it. Q: How do I drain a hot tub before removal? A: Turn off the power at the breaker, then drain the tub with its drain valve or a submersible pump to landscaping, not a storm drain. Treated water should cool and sit uncovered for a few days to let chlorine dissipate. ### Shed Removal URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/shed-removal A rotting or rusted shed is usually full of more junk. We empty it, take it apart, and haul the structure and everything inside in one visit, leaving the space ready for a new shed, a garden or nothing at all. Q: How much work is shed removal? A: Shed removal usually takes a few hours for a typical backyard wood, metal or resin shed. Pacific Haul & Wash empties it, takes it apart, loads the panels, roofing and framing, and hauls everything away. Concrete foundations are quoted separately. Text photos with rough dimensions to (619) 972-3798. Q: Do I need a permit to remove a shed in San Diego? A: Most small, detached backyard sheds can be removed without a permit, but rules depend on your city, HOA and whether the shed has electrical or plumbing. Check with your city's building department or HOA if the shed is wired or attached. We take apart and haul freestanding structures. #### Planning a shed teardown Take out anything you want to keep, and set aside fuel, pesticides and paint for household hazardous waste. If the shed has electrical service, have it disconnected by an electrician first. Tell us whether the shed sits on a concrete slab, pavers or dirt. Freestanding structures are taken apart and hauled; slab removal is quoted separately if you want it gone too. #### Structures we remove - Wood, metal and resin storage sheds - Wooden play sets and swing sets - Gazebos, pergolas and arbors - Dog runs and small enclosures - Everything stored inside #### How it is priced - Shed size and material - Contents inside the shed - Foundation or slab removal if requested - Access to the backyard #### What we cannot take - Sheds with live electrical service (have an electrician disconnect it) - Asbestos or suspected asbestos materials (these need a certified abatement contractor) - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) Q: Can you clean out the shed before taking it down? A: Yes. We haul the contents and the structure in the same visit. Set aside any fuel, pesticides or paint for household hazardous waste. Q: Do you remove play sets and gazebos? A: Yes. Wooden play sets, metal swing sets, pergolas and gazebos are taken apart and hauled the same way as sheds. ### E-Waste & Electronics Removal URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/electronics-removal Old TVs and computers can't go in the trash, and the City's hazardous waste facility doesn't take them either. We pick up electronics from anywhere in the home or office and get them to proper e-waste recycling. Q: How do I dispose of a TV in San Diego? A: Take it to an electronic waste recycler, not the trash. California treats many electronics as hazardous, the Miramar Landfill requires TVs and e-waste to be properly disposed of before a load enters, and the City's HHW facility does not take electronics. Pacific Haul & Wash picks up TVs and electronics for proper recycling. Q: What counts as e-waste? A: E-waste is any unwanted device with a circuit board or screen: TVs, computer monitors, laptops, desktops, printers, phones, tablets, game consoles and stereo equipment. CalRecycle explains that some electronics, such as old CRT TVs and devices with mercury lamps, are regulated as hazardous waste in California. #### Protect your data first Back up anything you need, then wipe or remove hard drives and phone storage before pickup. We do not provide certified data destruction, so keep or destroy drives that held sensitive information. Remove loose batteries from remotes, tools and devices. Batteries are hazardous waste in California and belong at a battery drop-off or household hazardous waste site. #### Electronics we pick up - Flat-screen and old tube (CRT) TVs - Computer monitors, desktops and laptops - Printers, copiers and fax machines - Stereo equipment, speakers and game consoles - Cables, keyboards and accessories #### How it is priced - Number and size of devices - CRT TVs and large monitors are heavy - Combined pickups with furniture or appliances #### What we cannot take - Loose household and lithium batteries - Broken fluorescent tubes and mercury lamps - Smoke detectors Q: Should I wipe my computer before pickup? A: Yes. Back up and wipe or remove hard drives before pickup. We do not provide certified data destruction, so keep or destroy drives that held sensitive data. Q: Do you take old batteries with electronics? A: Remove loose batteries first. All batteries are hazardous waste in California and should go to a battery drop-off or household hazardous waste facility. ### Commercial Junk Removal URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/commercial-junk-removal Offices, stores, restaurants and rental properties collect old furniture, fixtures and debris that regular trash service won't take. We clear it quickly, often outside business hours, and can pressure wash the storefront or dumpster area on the same visit. Q: What does commercial junk removal include? A: Commercial junk removal clears unwanted furniture, fixtures and debris from offices, stores, restaurants, warehouses and rental properties. Pacific Haul & Wash hauls desks, chairs, cubicle panels, shelving, displays and e-waste, works early or after hours to avoid disrupting business, and can pressure wash the storefront or dumpster pad afterward. Q: Can you clear out an office before a lease ends? A: Yes. Send photos and your move-out date, and we will quote the full office cleanout so the space is empty for the landlord walkthrough. We take apart desks and cubicles, haul furniture and e-waste, and can schedule around building elevator and loading dock rules. #### Built around your building Tell us about elevator reservations, loading dock hours and parking so the crew arrives ready. We take apart desks and cubicles on site and haul everything in as few trips as possible. Property managers and HOAs can set up recurring visits for dumped items and common areas, with before and after photos for each visit. #### Common commercial jobs - Office furniture, desks and chairs - Cubicle panels and filing cabinets - Retail fixtures, racks and displays - Restaurant furniture and non-hazardous equipment - E-waste: monitors, computers and printers - Dumpster enclosure and common-area cleanups #### How it is priced - Volume of furniture and fixtures - Disassembly of desks and cubicles - Elevator, dock and parking access - After-hours scheduling #### What we cannot take - Paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, fuel, motor oil and propane tanks (household hazardous waste programs take these) - Medical waste, sharps and biohazard material - Commercial hazardous waste, which needs a licensed hazardous waste hauler Q: Do you take commercial e-waste? A: Yes, we haul monitors, computers and printers for recycling. Wipe or remove drives first; we don't provide certified data destruction. Q: Can you work after business hours? A: Often, yes. We are available around the clock and can schedule evening, early morning or weekend pickups when your building allows. ## Service areas ### San Diego, CA URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/service-areas/san-diego County: San Diego County. We haul furniture and appliances, empty garages, remove hot tubs and pressure wash driveways across Temecula. Neighborhoods: Old Town, Wine Country, Redhawk, Wolf Creek, Harveston, Paloma del Sol. Common jobs: Garage cleanouts, Furniture and appliance removal, Hot tub removal, Driveway washing. Household hazardous waste: use Riverside County's household hazardous waste program. This guide collects published national cost data and the City of San Diego's own landfill fees so you can sanity-check any quote, including ours. Q: How much does junk removal cost in San Diego? A: There is no single San Diego rate. Angi's 2026 national data puts the average junk removal job at $241, with most between $133 and $372, and notes higher cost-of-living areas can run 10% to 20% above average. Pacific Haul & Wash quotes free from photos, based on load size, item type and access. Q: What does it cost to dump junk yourself at Miramar Landfill? A: For fiscal year 2027, Miramar Landfill charges a flat $75 for a car, pickup or small trailer of general refuse from inside the City of San Diego, and $86 from outside the City. Construction debris costs $108 or $122, and green waste $50. Uncovered loads add a $50 fee. Q: Why do junk removal quotes vary so much? A: Haulers price by volume, weight, item type, access and disposal fees. Angi's 2026 data shows a single bulky item at $60 to $150 and a full truckload at $600 to $800, while HomeGuide reports $400 to $450 per full load. Always ask whether labor, disposal and recycling fees are included. ### National benchmarks (not PHW prices) - National average job: $241 (Angi) - Typical range (most jobs): $133 to $372 (Angi) - Labor portion: $100 to $300 (Angi) - Typical range per load: $150 to $350 (HomeGuide) - Single-family home average: About $210 (HomeGuide) ### Cost by truckload Angi, 2026 national averages by share of a hauler's truck. Source: Angi, https://www.angi.com/articles/how-much-does-junk-removal-cost.htm - 1/8 truckload: $75 to $125 - 1/4 truckload: $125 to $200 - 1/2 truckload: $200 to $400 - 3/4 truckload: $400 to $600 - Full truckload: $600 to $800 ### Cost by item Angi, 2026 national averages. Source: Angi, https://www.angi.com/articles/how-much-does-junk-removal-cost.htm - Single bulky item (minimum charge): $60 to $150 - Couch: $100 to $200 - Mattress: $75 to $150 - Refrigerator: $50 to $150 - Washing machine: $75 to $150 - Hot tub: $200 to $600 - Construction debris: $100 to $800 ### Miramar Landfill self-haul fees City of San Diego, flat rates for Tier 1 vehicles (cars, SUVs, pickups, vans and trailers up to 5 x 9 x 4 feet, under 1 ton), effective July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Source: City of San Diego Environmental Services, https://www.sandiego.gov/sites/default/files/refuse-disposal-fees.pdf - General refuse, City of San Diego waste: $75 per load - General refuse, non-City waste: $86 per load - Construction and demolition debris (City / non-City): $108 / $122 per load - Green material (yard waste): $50 per load - Clean wood: $25 per load - Uncovered load fee: $50 ### Pressure washing cost HomeGuide national averages. Source: HomeGuide, https://homeguide.com/costs/pressure-washing-prices - National average: $211 - Average range: $173 to $311 - Driveway: $100 to $260 - Deck or patio: $200 to $240 - Per square foot (power washing): $0.35 to $0.77 ### What moves a quote - Volume: Most haulers price by how much of the truck or trailer your items fill. - What the items are: Heavy or regulated items cost more. Refrigerators and freezers need refrigerant handled, and mattresses, electronics and appliances go to separate recycling streams instead of the landfill face. - Access and labor: Stairs, long carries, tight hallways and disassembly add time. Angi puts labor at $100 to $300 of a typical bill. - Location: Angi notes that jobs in higher cost-of-living areas can run 10% to 20% above the national average. - Disposal fees: Every load pays a tipping fee somewhere. In San Diego, Miramar charges more for construction debris than general refuse, and more for waste generated outside the City. ### Hauling it yourself - You need a vehicle that can legally carry the load, plus tarps and straps. Miramar adds a $50 fee for uncovered loads. - Appliances, TVs, electronics, universal waste and household hazardous waste must be removed before a load enters Miramar. - Mattresses and box springs can go free to Bye Bye Mattress drop-off sites if they are dry and not infested. - The City of San Diego's curbside bulky item pickup is paused until further notice, so it is not an option right now. Q: Do you publish a price list? A: No. Every load is different, so Pacific Haul & Wash quotes each job from photos. Text pictures to (619) 972-3798 and you get a free estimate before any work starts. The national figures on this page are from Angi and HomeGuide, not our prices. Q: Is it cheaper to rent a dumpster? A: Sometimes, if you do all the loading and have room for it. Angi puts a one-week dumpster rental around $380 nationally, and a dumpster on the street may need a permit. A haul-away crew does the lifting and leaves nothing parked at your property. Q: Do junk removal quotes include dump fees? A: They should. Ask any hauler whether the quote covers labor, loading, disposal and recycling fees. Pacific Haul & Wash estimates include hauling and disposal for the items you show us. ## San Diego Junk Disposal Guide: Where Everything Goes (2026) URL: https://pacifichaulandwash.com/san-diego-disposal-guide Where junk can legally go depends on what it is and which city you live in. Every rule here was checked against the official source linked beside it. Rather not haul it yourself? Pacific Haul & Wash picks up anywhere in the county, 24/7 by call or text. ### Does the City of San Diego pick up bulky items? Not right now. The City of San Diego says its curbside bulky item pickup is paused until further notice. Residents can self-haul furniture and other bulky junk to Miramar Landfill, which charges a flat fee per load, donate items in good condition, or hire a hauler such as Pacific Haul & Wash. Other cities in the county contract with private haulers whose bulky item rules vary. WasteFreeSD lists the options for each city. - Miramar Landfill (City of San Diego), 5180 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111: The City of San Diego's only active landfill. It depends on where you live. City of San Diego residents get free appointments at the Miramar household hazardous waste facility on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Unincorporated communities use the County program. Other cities list their programs on WasteFreeSD, and Temecula and Murrieta use Riverside County. Junk haulers cannot take hazardous waste. The Miramar facility limits each trip to 15 gallons or 125 pounds and does not accept appliances, electronics, treated wood, asbestos or business waste. - City of San Diego Household Hazardous Waste Transfer Facility, 5161 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111: Free for City of San Diego residents by appointment, Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Book at sandiego.gov/HHW or call 858-694-7000. No. California treats many electronics, including TVs, monitors and devices with batteries, as hazardous or universal waste that cannot go in household trash. Miramar Landfill requires electronics to be removed before a load enters. Use a certified e-waste recycler, a city collection event, or a hauler that routes electronics to recycling. Working electronics can often be donated. Father Joe's Villages takes working TVs, computers and similar devices, and California law requires them to record the donor's information. - WasteFreeSD: The regional search tool for where to recycle, donate or dispose of a specific item in your city. (https://www.wastefreesd.org/) - Father Joe's Villages thrift donations: Free donation pickup and drop-off for gently used furniture that two people can carry, plus household goods and working electronics. Items must be at entry level. Mattresses, box springs, beds, pianos, water heaters and broken or stained furniture are not accepted. (https://my.neighbor.org/donate-goods/) ### How do I dispose of a refrigerator or washer in San Diego? Appliances cannot be dumped at Miramar Landfill with regular trash. They must be properly disposed of first, because refrigerators, freezers and AC units contain refrigerant that has to be recovered. Options include retailer haul-away with a new purchase, a metal or appliance recycler, or a hauler that delivers them to recycling. - Miramar Landfill (City of San Diego), 5180 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111: The City of San Diego's only active landfill. Open Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Sundays. Miramar Landfill accepts green material from cars, pickups and small trailers for a flat $50 per load in fiscal year 2027, the cheapest category on its fee schedule. Clean wood is $25 per load. Larger trucks and trailers fall into Tier 2, at $352 or $374 per load. Asbestos and other regulated materials need special handling. - Miramar Landfill (City of San Diego), 5180 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111: The City of San Diego's only active landfill. Open Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Sundays. (https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/dam/sdc/dpw/SOLID_WASTE_PLANNING_and_RECYCLING/Files/LandfillTransferMap.pdf) ### Where can I donate furniture in San Diego? Goodwill Industries of San Diego County and Father Joe's Villages both accept gently used furniture. Father Joe's offers free donation pickup for furniture two people can carry, left at entry level. Stained, broken or torn pieces, mattresses and very large items such as pianos are refused, which is when a haul-away makes sense. - Goodwill Industries of San Diego County: Accepts gently used clothing, household goods and furniture at its San Diego County stores and donation centers. Check the site for what each location takes before you drop off. (https://sdgoodwill.org/) - Father Joe's Villages thrift donations: Free donation pickup and drop-off for gently used furniture that two people can carry, plus household goods and working electronics. Items must be at entry level. Mattresses, box springs, beds, pianos, water heaters and broken or stained furniture are not accepted. (https://my.neighbor.org/donate-goods/) ### How do I report illegal dumping in San Diego? In the City of San Diego, report dumped furniture, mattresses and debris on public property through the Get It Done app or website, which routes the request to the right City department. Dumping on private property is usually the owner's responsibility to clear, which is where a hauler like Pacific Haul & Wash comes in. ### How to recycle a mattress for free in San Diego 1. Check the condition: Make sure the mattress is dry, not severely damaged or soiled, and free of bedbugs. Sites can refuse wet or infested mattresses. 2. Pick the nearest drop-off: City of San Diego residents can use the drop-off at the Miramar Landfill entrance, 5161 Convoy St, open Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Otay Landfill, Sycamore Landfill and the Palomar Transfer Station also take mattresses. 3. Cover and secure the load: Wrap or tarp the mattress and strap it down. Uncovered loads at Miramar are charged a $50 fee. 4. Drop it off: Tell the attendant you are dropping off a mattress for recycling. Through the Bye Bye Mattress program there is no fee. ## Frequently asked questions ### General Q: What does Pacific Haul & Wash do? Q: Is Pacific Haul & Wash the same company as Pacific Haul & Removal or Pacific Haul SD? A: Our junk removal cost guide at pacifichaulandwash.com/junk-removal-cost collects national pricing from Angi and HomeGuide plus the City of San Diego's Miramar Landfill fees. For your actual price, text photos to (619) 972-3798 for a free quote. ### Junk Removal Q: How much does junk removal cost in San Diego? Q: Do you take couches and sectionals? Q: Can you pick up just one mattress? Q: Do you take old refrigerators? A: Yes, we remove old refrigerators and freezers. Please empty them first. Because they contain refrigerant, we take them to facilities that handle appliances properly instead of a regular landfill. Q: Do you disconnect gas appliances? A: No. For safety, gas stoves and dryers need to be disconnected and capped by you or a qualified technician before we arrive. Electric and water connections should be unplugged and shut off too. Q: Do you take water heaters? A: Yes, once the water heater has been drained and disconnected by you or your plumber, we can haul it away for metal recycling. Q: Do you haul palm fronds and branches? Q: Is junk removal cheaper than renting a dumpster? Q: Do you remove the concrete pad under a hot tub? A: The pad is a separate job. Tell us if the slab or a deck needs to go and we will quote it, or leave it in place and pressure wash it. Q: How do I drain a hot tub before removal? A: Turn off the power at the breaker, then drain the tub with its drain valve or a submersible pump to landscaping, not a storm drain. Treated water should cool and sit uncovered for a few days to let chlorine dissipate. Q: Can you clean out the shed before taking it down? Q: Should I wipe my computer before pickup? Q: Do you take commercial e-waste? A: Yes, we haul monitors, computers and printers for recycling. Wipe or remove drives first; we don't provide certified data destruction. Q: Can you work after business hours? A: Often, yes. We are available around the clock and can schedule evening, early morning or weekend pickups when your building allows. ### Pressure Washing Q: How much does pressure washing cost in San Diego? Q: Should I pressure wash my driveway before selling my home? A: Yes, pressure washing the driveway is one of the cheapest ways to improve curb appeal before listing photos and showings. A clean driveway makes the whole front of the house look better maintained. Q: Will pressure washing wash out paver sand? A: Pressure washing can loosen some joint sand between pavers, which is why we use lower pressure on pavers and work at an angle. Pavers may need fresh joint sand after a deep clean, and we'll let you know if yours do. Q: Can you pressure wash before or after business hours? A: Often, yes. Ask us when you request a quote and we'll work out a time that keeps your entrance open for customers. ### Property Cleanouts Q: What is a property cleanout? Q: Who is responsible for removing items dumped on my property? Q: How long does a garage cleanout take? A: Most single-garage cleanouts take a few hours, depending on how full it is and how much sorting is needed. Text photos and we'll give you an estimate of both cost and time. Q: Can you take shelving and workbenches? A: Yes. We take down free-standing shelving and haul old workbenches. Shelving bolted to the wall can be removed if you want the space cleared. Q: Do I need to sort before you arrive? A: No. Sorting ahead helps, but you can also point out what stays as we go. Paperwork and keepsakes are set aside if you ask. Q: Can you clear out an apartment on short notice? A: Often, yes. Availability depends on our schedule that week, so ask us. Text photos and your move-out date to (619) 972-3798 and we'll tell you the soonest time we can be there. Q: Do you clean inside the unit after hauling? A: We leave the unit broom-clean after hauling. Deep cleaning such as carpets, kitchens and bathrooms is a separate service from a cleaning company. Q: Can you handle several units at once? A: Yes, we can schedule multiple turnovers for property managers. Send the list of units and photos and we will quote each one. Q: Do you handle biohazard or trauma cleanup? ## Sources cited - How Much Does Junk Removal Cost?
