Pressure & Surface Washing

Pressure Washing in San Diego County

Concrete in San Diego takes a beating from tire marks, oil drips, sun-baked grime, bird droppings, leaf stains and that dull gray film that builds up over time. Pacific Haul & Wash pressure washes driveways, patios, walkways, pool decks, entryways and storefronts to bring surfaces back to clean.

What surfaces can be pressure washed in San Diego?

Most exterior hard surfaces can be pressure washed: concrete driveways, garage aprons, patios, pavers, pool decks, sidewalks, entryways, block walls and dumpster pads. Pacific Haul & Wash matches pressure and technique to each surface, using a rotary surface cleaner on flat concrete and lower pressure on pavers and stone.

Is pressure washing the same as power washing?

They are close but not identical. Both use high-pressure water; power washing usually refers to heated water, while pressure washing uses unheated water. For most San Diego driveways, patios and walkways, a pressure wash with pre-treatment of oil and organic stains gives an even, clean result without damaging the surface.

How our pressure washing works

We start by clearing the area and pre-treating heavy stains like oil and organic buildup. On flat concrete we use a surface cleaner, a spinning attachment that cleans evenly and avoids the zebra stripes a handheld wand can leave. Edges, steps and corners get detailed with a wand, and we rinse everything to finish.

Pressure and technique are matched to the surface. Concrete can handle more than pavers, and painted or delicate surfaces need a softer approach, so we look at the surface first rather than blasting everything the same way.

Pairs well with a haul-out

Many properties need both. Clear out the junk from a side yard or garage, then wash down the concrete it was sitting on, all in one visit with one crew. It's the whole reason we do haul and wash under one name.

Water-conscious cleaning

Pressure washing uses far less water per square foot than a garden hose, and we work to keep wash water and debris out of storm drains, in line with San Diego's storm water rules.

How pressure washing is priced

  • Square footage of the surface is the main factor.
  • Surface type: concrete, pavers, stone and painted surfaces need different pressure and time.
  • Staining: oil, rust and heavy organic buildup need pre-treatment.
  • Access and water: we confirm a usable outdoor spigot when you book.
  • Adding washing to a haul-out in the same visit saves a second trip.

FAQ

Pressure Washing questions

All FAQs

How much does pressure washing cost in San Diego?

Pressure washing cost depends mainly on the square footage, the type of surface and how heavy the staining is. A standard driveway is a different job than a large patio with oil stains or a commercial walkway. Access and water availability matter too. Text photos of the area to (619) 972-3798 and we'll send a clear estimate.

Will pressure washing remove oil stains?

Pressure washing with a pre-treatment removes most fresh and moderate oil stains and noticeably lightens old ones. Oil that has soaked into concrete for years may not come out completely, and we'll tell you honestly what to expect after seeing photos.

Can pressure washing damage concrete or pavers?

Pressure washing can damage surfaces if the pressure is too high or the nozzle is held too close, which is why we match pressure and technique to each surface. Concrete tolerates more pressure, while pavers, older concrete and painted surfaces need a gentler approach.

How often should I pressure wash my driveway?

Most San Diego driveways look their best with a pressure wash about once a year. Homes near trees, the coast or busy streets, and properties getting ready to sell or rent, often benefit from more frequent cleaning.
